Shuichi Kajitani
Professor, University of Ibaraki, Japan
Dr. Kajitani is a professor at Ibaraki University. His
research topics are mainly alternative fuel for internal combustion
engines, Methanol fuel for S.I. engines, Emulsified fuel for
C.I engines and DME fuel for C.I. engines. Furthermore, He is
also interested in DME direct fuel cell.
He has published many articles both in English and Japanese
not only in professional journals but also in commercial journals.
His professional activities in the Japan Society of Automotive
Engineer, Japan Society of Mechanical Engineer, where he organized
various technical conferences and he is a technical chair of
Japan DME forum and a member of IDA.
He was a chair RC (Research Committee of Japan Society of Mechanical
Engineer) 174, “Low carbon and oxygenated fuel and its
high efficient utilization technology” from 1999 to 2001,
and chair of fuel and lubricant section JSAE (Society of Japan
Automotive Engineer) from 2001to 2003, and a member of various
government committees, JSAE and JSME.
Dr. Kajitani graduated
from Hokkaido University and earned his PhD. in Mechanical Engineering
from Hokkaido University in 1977.
