Katsumi Sato
General Manager, Overseas Planning Division, Nippon Express Co., Ltd.
Mr. Katsumi Sato is the General Manager of the Overseas Planning Division for Nippon Express Company, Ltd. World Headquarters, a position he has held since June 2003. Mr. Sato joined Nippon Express in 1969. Throughout his thirty-five year career with Nippon Express, Mr. Sato has held major positions in various branch offices not only in Japan, but also in the United States and the United Kingdom.
After Mr. Sato graduated from Ryutsu Keizai University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 1969, he joined Nippon Express Co. Limited's Tokyo Air Services Branch. From 1974-1980, Mr. Sato worked as Export Manager for the company's Los Angeles branch office. From March 1980 to September 2001, he held various managerial positions within the Tokyo office's Air Services Branch. Mr. Sato then took up post from 2001-2003 as the President of Nippon Express' United Kingdom Ltd., until his return in June 2003 to the company's Tokyo headquarters and to take up his current post.
