Kanji Nakayama
Director General Engineering and Safety Department, Ministry of Land Infrastructure and Transport
Kanji Nakayama is currently the Director General of the Engineering and Safety Department, Road Transport Bureau within the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
He took this position beginning in 2002 after having served as Deputy Director General of the Kinki District Transport Bureau. Since 1991, he has been the director of various divisions including Maintenance Service, Operation Safety and Environment, Automotive Pollution Control, Vehicle and Component Approvals, and Engineering Planning.
Mr. Nakayama is an engineering graduate of the University of Osaka.
