Alan C. Lloyd
Chairman California Air Resources Board
Dr. Alan Lloyd is Chairman of the Air Resources Board, a branch of the California Environmental Protection Agency. He oversees a $150 million budget and a staff of nearly 1,000 employees.
The 11-member Board's mission is to promote and protect public health, welfare and ecological resources through reduction of air pollutants, while recognizing and considering effects on the economy. Dr. Lloyd was the 2003 Chairman of the California Fuel Cell Partnership and is a co-founder of the California Stationary Fuel Cell Collaborative.
He earned both his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Ph.D. in Gas Kinetics at the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, U.K.
