The Development & Dissemination Of Environmentally Friendly Vehicles (EFVs)
Attaining an Environmentally Friendly Automobile Society
PURPOSE
The development and dissemination of safe, environmentally-friendly and affordable motor vehicles are important goals for Japan and the U.S. The exploration of possible paths to reach these goals, based on the knowledge about current and future automotive technology and the availability of fuel sources, is an urgent task for both countries.
This conference offers an excellent opportunity for concerned parties in both the public and private sectors of Japan and the U.S. to share the latest information on the progress of technological studies, as well as policies and programs for the promotion of Environmentally Friendly Vehicles (EFVs).
The main focus of the conference will be the future of fuel cell vehicles, hybrid powered vehicles and other EFVs, which will help the participants see where the future will take them in the 2020-2030 timeframe.
FORMAT
Prominent environment and automobile experts from both countries will make presentations, and a panel discussion, moderated by Alan Lloyd, will follow.
